I woke up early but could get back to bed and sleep again, due to having a later start today.

Something special about being awake before everyone else is. The world is so nice and quiet.

I understand that feeling well, although I do it the other way around - I'm usually awake far later than everyone else! The peace and quiet is wonderful.

No, I slept through that. Woke before it first and then after it again.
Staying up late is very nice as well, can absolutely relate.
