Open! It's not my house.

It's a sliding door, just do it slowly and carefully and you'd be fine.

Or better yet, open the other sliding door and fish the dishes out. No risk.

You wish to fish the dish?

How would you know it's sliding door? Is it the lock?
Zipitydew@sh.itjust.works · 5 pts · 2y
Yep. That recessed finger hold is common on pocket doors and sliding cabinets.

Hard ceramic on hard glass like that is really unlikely to make a seal of any meaningful force. Those dishes are not perfectly flat on the edges.
Klear@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y
Yeah, that sucks.

Seal it and call it an art installation.

That will just have to remain untouched for the rest of eternity

I'll go with close. They're not my dishes, let someone else deal with opening it and the resulting fallout.

Open. Always up for a challenge 😂

two semi-coordinated people could probably save most of those dishes, so presuming i have a second useful person definitely open.

Burn down the house for insurance money and start over in another country with another identity.

It's just some dishes man lmao

Put a mattress on the floor, rip the door open and hope for the best.
