Obviously a big part of the existing #fediverse will be very unhappy if this is the direction things are going, at least in some places. But regardless, in this group I think we should share all press coverage, not just that with whose point of view we agree.

I dunno. As long as the brands make their own instances and we have the freedom to interact or not interact with them, then I am ok with this. Essentially, they will be just another website. Some brands like Framework laptops or many indie game devs might fit well here.

It's an interesting article, makes me want to spin up a Pixelfed server just for brands so others can easily block them!
