And now I'm already glad I created this community; I had no idea this game existed, and now I'm giving it a try. I'll report back how well it works through Wine.
Works well with Proton on the Steam Deck. Need to use Steam button + trackpad to move the mouse to configure controls in-game, then map those buttons to the keyboard keys in the Steam controller settings.
