Why do I often get errors when upvoting or boosting?

Frequently but not always I'll get an error page when I try to upvote or boost. Sometimes repeatedly, sometimes just once then it works fine, sometimes it stops when I reload the page.

Is it something to do with federating upvotes? I got the same thing on kbin but when it happened there i'd often need to re-login to my account.

So it's not just me. I asked about it here https://fedia.io/m/fedia/t/1101127/Fedia-io-instability/comment/7051263#entry-comment-7051263 as well.

It used to happen to me on kbin.social, then almost never on kbin.run, never at first here, now very often.

It's on radar now. Thanks for reporting.. We need to dive deep in what is the root cause. The logging says:

Yes, so the magazine is: @mbinmeta@gehirneimer.de, which is: https://gehirneimer.de/m/mbinmeta. But I read all Mbin related magazines.

I posted my issue in English, they answered me in English.

Yes that is also what I would expect. :P

It happens to me too. Refresh the page works.

That doesn't fix it every time for me, alas.
