Fairlight - highly engaging adventure/crpg. It's challenging, fun and totally worth the time spent on the exploration of the ruined castle.

This was probably the first game I completed. The music was also use doing when I first heard it. I know it wasn't the first isometric game at the time but it just was so well crafted.

Thanks for the reminder, I may for up the emulator for a game.

Also reminds me of journeys end, a bonkers RPG from mastertronic that started on side A and you played through the game flipping the cassette over as you progressed...

Or Viking raiders from Firebird that was my first real introduction into two player games :)

I'm looking for something adventure-y that i can play at my own pace, but also not too heavy/involved. Do you reckon this fits the bill?

Bard's Tale, Excalibur, The Hobbit come to mind... 🤔

Thanks, I'll give those a whirl. Bard's Tale isn't too heavy going?

And which publisher for Excalibur, I can see multiple games of that name. Cheers

Excalibur: the Sword of the Kings. Text-based adventure game.

Can't comment on BT - you know how things are. Same title is often too easy/too hard for different people...

I find it challenging, but not "I'm so frustrated, please kill me" kind of game.
