When I was in the sixth grade, I went to a school that required you to have a badge. I had bad untreated ADHD (pretty sure I still do, just saw a psychologist about it about a week ago) and so it was normal for me to lose or forget my badge. If you didn't have your badge, you had to get a temporary from the front office, and if you showed up to lunch with one, you got one cold uncrustable for lunch. That's it. Everyone else was served a full hot lunch.
So I have bad memories of being lunch shamed centered around these things. Besides, I love my extra crunchy Jif.

Oh god, so you have to sit there and wait for it to thaw lmao. That’s so rude and I can see why it would brand them so negatively for you.
I was diagnosed ADHD in the 90s when the science around it was even fuzzier than it is now. Never managed to find meds that worked for me and went unmedicated for years. Finally got on meds way late into adulthood (non-stim but it works for me) and it helps a ton. Your mileage may vary but ask questions and work with your doctor. Be honest and take notes about how you feel, what works and what doesn’t, etc. They can adjust your dosage and try other things. I’d probably be unemployable without them, especially as a programmer that needs all the focus they can get.

I still make my own PBJs, but they’re great when you need to grab and go. I kind of bought some on a whim out of nostalgia and found a place that sells them fairly cheap.

Lol, I really want a decent version of this cocktail, the aesthetic is amazing, beautiful trash, sadly I'm pretty confident that the only reason straight bourbon will improve an uncrustable is that you'll be slightly drunk.

Okay the round ice looks cool (heh) but who cares what shape it is? Is it the surface area? That would affect its melting speed somewhat, but at that point just use whiskey stones and cold water in your liquor to preference.
