Hmm. It was not unexpected, but, based on the amount of warning given, completely a surprise.
I was surprised we let them go back to work ever again after the pipeline they marked 30 feet off-course on the as-built that the city instead found by feel and a backhoe later. (but, long as you can shift the blame for the massive cleanup, it's all good in the hood, right?)
These guys couldn't find the ground if they stood there and looked down.

What exactly is causing the sinkholes here? Is this where the ground isn’t stable enough for their boring equipment to tunnel through, and the tunnel is collapsing in places? Or is something else going on?
