Still working this thing out. New to Lemmy, never been a mod, so please bear(bare?) with me. Hopefully this community takes off, I couldn’t find anything other than a general Ford community for Lightning owners. r/f150lightning was one of my main subs before Reddit took the dive.
It’s pretty wicked. Getting about 550km/100% charge in-town with summer temperatures. I usually only top it up to 85% unless I’m heading on a longer trip. Winter I was getting around 375-400km. Gotta spring for the extended range though. A guy in town had a standard range and sold it this spring because the winter mileage was killing him.
Towing… it’ll do it, it’s pretty capable in-town. You have to keep in mind it is still 1st gen tech. I wouldn’t hook on a boat and head down the highway with it or anything but I haul stuff around for work all the time with it no problem.

Wow I'm jealous. I'd love to have either one of those. I find it ironic that the electric truck is repping oil and gas, but I love this post.

How do you like it? I have a Model Y right now. I'd consider the Lightening when they add the Tesla/NACS charge port.
