Never had Twitter (I know blasphemy) but I recently joined Mastodon and it's seems pretty cool, I'm not really into the whole Twitter style thing though, I'm more of a Forum person myself than a Twitter person.
People have been asking me to join twitter for a while, back when twitter was a big thing. Most people back then did have twitter and did sign up and at least tweeted something before. People always thought it was strange that I'm not on there, I just didn't really want to be there because it seemed really toxic there from what I've seen people say online and the screenshots that have been re-posted.
I would definitely recommend Mastodon though, it seems really cool from being there, not like the twitter I've heard about at all.
