Nah it's a shitty 80s movie where the nerds hack a party app(?) on an old computer that automatically invites people and sets up a huge party on the beach. It's not magic but it's definitely not explained. There's also some subplot where the mayor or someone thinks there's gold on the beach... It's an odd duck
