I believe the devs are still working on stabilizing the app. I requested this like a week ago and that was kind of the response I got. So just know that it's likely planned, they just have bigger fish to fry at the moment.

These poor devs. They have the best app for fediverse and it's still in Alpha while a giant migration comes to the platform.
They've been responsive and busy. They deserve our praise! It's like they got their wish granted, but sooner than they'd have liked

Yeah, right now the only way is to download the image and share from the phone. I wish we had a share feature.
