Glad to hear it, when I've look at the front page all the songs were at least 20 years old. But just today a few people posted recent songs and they even wrote "new release" in the title so that people would know. Maybe my post title made an impact on people!

Could be!
Music is one of those things that brings about a lot of feeling in people and I think that leads to inspired posting. One person sees something they recognize or groove with and posts something similar-ish, and next thing you know you've got 2 hours of classic rock posting or whatever.
Lots of things can be a catalyst when we're all here for a good time!
