Social platforms are under the same effect as voting. Over half population either supports it or is too ill informed. They just want to scroll their feed without thinking too much. Same way voters just vote for the one that sounds alright on the surface. Combined with the fervent supporters makes a majority. It's the minority of voters/users who are opinionated against it.
Billionaires and hectomillionaire shareholders are pretty much the same thing when it comes to enshittification.
It might not be racist from the top down like the husk formerly known as Twitter is now, but it'll enshittify and be racist from the bottom up nonetheless.
Dorsey took care to hire on for the Bluesky staff a collection of LessWrong rationalists, neoreactionaries, VibeCamp anti-wokeist race scientists and crypto developers. And Bluesky still had to asymptotically approach a tolerable degree of moderation and — eventually, despite the CEO and several devs being followers of the test case offender — ban the Nazis.

Nah it's a long way from dying, I doubt it will ever go under in the foreseeable future anyway.
People are constantly announcing their departures from X and make a whole show about it. Only to come back after a couple of days or weeks.
