Iām pretty sure they have been invited on the media cruise for the new Disney cruise ship, the Disney Treasure. They were on the preview cruise for the wish and the media event for the newest ship is taking place in December so I betcha that is the family trip she is talking about

Iām not snarking on anything about L and her sweetness but you can see L acting like Sarah and Nana and probably the big kids at times. Itās masking or faking it - not sure what to call it, but none of them are real they just put on this cheery, happy, high pitched voice as if every moment is for instagram. Not the Disney adult stuff for me but I believe in being silly and that we all grow up a little too fast and that a personal aesthetic is better than chasing trends. Sarah will say people are making fun of her or saying she canāt be childlike but thatās not it, itās that sheās selfishly going too far.
Somethings going on in that family - the joy isnāt real itās curated and fake.
I keep thinking about Lās comment when S. woke her up when she got home. L. said she liked Sās nails. Other times L. has said that S. is pretty or her hair is nice, etc. Nothing wrong with that at all but itās as though thatās the only thing she knows that will get attention from her mom, complimenting herā¦ Everything seems to be just for clicks & likes. Yes! I wouldnāt do that trip without her but if for some reason I did, the 3 year old would never know where I was and what I did.
Poor kid is isolated from the world, left with Nana in no activities or preschool, and then is manipulated by her mom as Birds swings from neglectful to fawning over L and back to neglectful again. Birdsā mask is slipping big time these days, she has no one to mirror because no one behaves like this - so we are seeing the act all unravel.
Can see why she has to keep L isolated. Even 3 year olds at daycare would not understand why their friendās mom went to a Disney Resort without her and would for sure say as much directly to L.

I sometimes wonder if she holds a bit of disdain for poor L for "ruining" her body. I think pre L she was feeling herself hard. I guess she didn't account for her body's natural changes after 12 years. There was no way she was going to "bounce back" the way she did after B in her late 30s vs her 20s. It's totally normal and expected. Then she didn't lose the weight fast enough, which again, late 30s. It doesn't fall off anymore!
Sorry for lack of updates, was a busy day. Lemmy.ca admin did come back to me, but with no good news - nothing obviously failing on their end either. How did you fetch those comments? Is it just the new ones coming through or is there a magic incantation to get them?

With your permission, I could try completely purging this post on lemmy.cafe and trying searching for it afterwards. Maybe that would trigger full federation of all comments. The other outcome is losing currently federated comments on cafe.
