Are there even any players left in the top leagues who haven't gone to countries with awful human rights records such as Saudi Arabia and the US?

well to be fair, he is moving from an UAE sportwashing project to a Saudi Arabian sportswashing project, so not much change for him

I was surprised by Henderson going for only 12 too. He might be 33, but a European club would probably still have had to pay much more than that.

I think clubs are either afraid of angering the regime or getting extremely lucrative deals the press doesn't know about in addition to the transfer fees..
