One article said they had food from the grocery store and lots of survival literature. The way the bodies were found hinted towards some sort of poising.

Could they have foraged for food and mistakenly eaten inedible vegetation?

Or suffocated themselves in the tent? We won‘t know, but we will do better… and most importantly don‘t put children at risk.
