Instance owners, how did you get your servers online? [REPOST]

I created my community using Sharkey, and I didn’t want to bother the service maintainers any more than I already have, so I’m reaching out here for help. 😂

How did you get your servers online? I manage my domain through Cloudflare, and I tried setting up a tunnel to access my instance. The server is online, and I can access the admin panel via an IP address, but I get an error when I type in the domain via my browser (Firefox). Cloudflare users, I could really use your help!

EDIT: Nevermind! Everything’s working guys!

What error do you get, for a start?

Browser just says that the domain can’t load, it will also show up as blank webpage. This would happen with other browsers too. As said before, I can access the server’s admin panel just fine, I just want to make sure that everyone else can see my instance too.

Do you have DNS A records pointing to the right place?

`dig whateveryourdomain.tld' and find out.

Yeah, it does!

Then you might have a security group issue with Cloudflare. Gotta check that out and make sure it's open.

The DNS record must point to cloudflare, not the instance IP

I also have my domain with cloudflare, try checking the DNS menu there and create an A level record pointing to your server's public ip address

I will try this when I can and let you know!

Please do! Good luck!

What was the issue? Might want to post it for future reference.
