Very excited with the speed of transfers this year. As for Hojlund, I think he has a great potential, I posted a tactical analysis from Pythagoras in Boots in another post if anyone wants to get more familiar with him.

I’ll wait longer to pass full judgement on our current leadership, but they at least seem to be more time efficient than Woodward. It’s a welcome change

Hopefully he can hit the ground running, I’m excited to see what our attack will look like with an actual #9!

Does anyone know how his injury track record is?

Edit: if anyone is interested this is what I found on transfermarkt

transfermarkt is pretty good at tracking injuries, you should check there

Is that a decent price or did we overpay?

Based on the numbers he's put up so far? Massive overpay.

Based on what else we could buy for the same money? Its probably fair. Football finances are broken :p

As ever, if he's what the system needs, and he adapts to the PL, he could yet be a great deal, but its a gamble. Here's hoping by 2024/25 he's a 20-goal-a-season-striker, and I'm eating my words in the first paragraph!

I feel like we overpay any players we're talked with

Idk, but I know how much we struggled last season without a striker bagging goals

Skyraptor7@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 3y

Overpay but considering the United Tax, I think I expected it

asparagus_p@lemmy.ca · 1 pts · 3y

Can't really tell if we overpaid until we see how he performs in the next couple of years. If he's amazing, it might seem like a bargain.

Getting a promising prospect in Højlund feels great. Finally we don't have to watch the likes of Weghorst anymore. Hope Rashford and Højlund open up defenses well together
