My bro recently destroyed his phone with the recovery passphrase for his wallet. Is there away to still get access to his account?

This is the main reason I don't think I'll ever own a significant amount of crypto, you can always brute force a safe.

I’ll always have access to my brokerage account with Stocks, ETFs, etc even if I lose all my passwords and computers. And no one is gonna mutilate my body for my retirement account password. Can’t say the same for a crypto wallet.

Misses the point of crypto I'd say. You lose control of your assets. Keeping multiple backups is the way to go imo.
