"Media outlet gives attention to delusional conman with nothing valuable to say" is like 90% of news articles now.

Didn't he claim a bunch of stuff for this year? I guess there's still time

https://thoughtnova.com/self-proclaimed-modern-nostradamus-reveals-five-eerie-predictions-for-2024

thallamabond@lemmy.world · 17 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Wow. What a load of crap

5 2024 predictions:

  1. AI self-awareness and robot uprising
  2. WW3
  3. Global catastrophe
  4. Alien contact
  5. Asteroid colliding into Earth, but with new materials we've never seen which causes economic war.

My favorite bit is at the end where he says these are just predictions the future is uncertain.

This is literally the plot of Command & Conquer games.

After reading that article, I have no idea why anyone listens to the absolute tripe this bloke is throwing around.

OfficerBribe@lemm.ee · 8 pts · 1y

As with all predicters, you throw 1000 things at the wall and 1 will probably stick. No one remembers the 999 fsiled ones.

Seriously vice, what do you think your target audience is? 5 years olds?

What's next, unicorns?

djsoren19@yiffit.net · 4 pts · 1y

Considering most Americans read at a child's level, I think they're right about their target audience.
