I can tell when my dog is playing with something he shouldn't (vs with one of his toys) without even seeing him because I can hear him having too much fun.
I have not found a toy that provides the same excitement as a dirty sock.
I had a German Shepherd. She was a chew freak. Sweet dog but she could chew up a phone pole. I would say spit it out and she would hang her head. Then I would say it again and she would deposit whatever it was on the floor at my feet.
