If you're going to have an evil overlord, at least have an entertaining one who makes no bones about who and what he is, rather than a self-congratulating orifice who keeps maintaining that he's doing us all a favor.

Yeah I always considered Baal as a self aware Gould.

Most of em clearly drink thier old koolaid

ToucheGoodSir@lemy.lol · 9 pts · 1y

In his eyes im sure he genuinely believes that to a degree. However where he dun goofed is a trap many intelligent folk fall into: underestimating other people. Plus he's too greedy lol

How dare you insult the majestic glider!

Fermion@feddit.nl · 9 pts · 1y (1 reply)

It's the Tel'tak transport ship.

aeronmelon@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 1y

Ah, it is.

Still looks way nicer and serves a practice purpose by comparison.

mosiacmango@lemm.ee · 3 pts · 1y

Lol, that cybertruck tent rendering tesla put out looks nothing like the actual $3,000 one they sell:

Agent641@lemmy.world · 26 pts · 1y

I like the episode where he cloned himself a bunch of times. He also liked that episode.

dumbass@leminal.space · 17 pts · 1y (2 replies)

So a go'ould would make him likeable?

billyhopscotch@midwest.social · 33 pts · 1y

It wouldn't make him less likeable, that's for sure.

theyllneverfindmehere@lemmy.world · 18 pts · 1y

Honestly, maybe.

uhmbah@lemmy.ca · 13 pts · 1y

RIP Cliff Simon

The wrong evil guy died.

iAvicenna@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 1y

not likable would be flattering for Elon. He summons a very strong urge to vomit.

TurboHarbinger@feddit.cl · 5 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Lol I always thought of Ba'al like a pest you cant get rid of.

lengau@midwest.social · 5 pts · 1y

Another common feature!

In the alt-U Ba'al created, he also didn't do pointless stupid cruelty, and generally seemed competent.

Ledericas@lemm.ee · 4 pts · 1y

baal also later recognized hes not a real god, which the other system lord believed in thier own bs, musk believes in his own bs with his eugenics fetish

klu9@lemmy.ca · 3 pts · 1y

Another difference:

Ba’al: ✅Brainworm

Elon: ❌️Brainworm (see RFK Jr instead)

aaaa@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 1y (1 reply)

You cannot be serious

SatyrSack@feddit.org · 10 pts · 1y

Yes I can! I just choose not to.

lars@lemmy.sdf.org · -1 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Who’s on the left

xia@lemmy.sdf.org · -8 pts · 1y (3 replies)

I dunno... being an Elon slave might be more comfortable (in a white collar kinda way)?

Arbiter@lemmy.world · 18 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Wouldn’t being an Elon slave just put you in African diamond mines?

Ledericas@lemm.ee · 1 pts · 1y

emerald mines, the simpsons parody had jane goodall as owner of the diamond mines.

lengau@midwest.social · 14 pts · 1y

IDK, Ba'al seemed to have a pretty successful business empire on Earth.
