This is an honest question, I’m not trying to be pedantic: Isn’t this jewelry?

I mean, it is shaped like an IUD, but I thought the copper ones were plastic with copper attached. Full copper would be rather… inflexible, and probably even more uncomfortable to implant. And I see something on the back that could be a bale for a chain or earring hook, maybe? Or is that a typical feature of their construction?

In a random study of N=1000 males, none complained about IUD insertion or removal pain.

On a serious note: for my wife this was really painful. Make sure you’ve got a good friend or somebody to drive you home and make you tea or hot chocolate after.
