I mean, Cholera outbreaks still exist, but I think it's fitting that the Russian ethos of not caring about the welfare of it's troops relives a past where cholera outbreaks were more frequent. Ukraine is fighting an army running on 1823 rules.

Maybe there's more to it than just having a toilet. Maybe plugging the toilet up to running water is the missing step.
