if you put the url of the post in the mastodon search bar it'll show up as a post that you can reply to

(I should probably get an actual Lemmy account, though - using my mastodon isn't very comfortable)

it's all activitypub, so yep you can cross-follow and cross-post

(there's definitely jank, too, but it works)
