What do they know?

LarsIsCool@lemmy.world · 62 pts · 1y (13 replies)

"gore" is the Slovenian word for "mountains"

CyberMonkey404@lemmy.ml · 11 pts · 1y (5 replies)

That's what they get for not using Cyrillic

Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 1y (4 replies)

Would you prefer горе?

CyberMonkey404@lemmy.ml · 1 pts · 1y (3 replies)

No, because that means "sorrow"

Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 1y (2 replies)

Well you never are satisfied are you? If slovenian used cyrilic that's what it would be. Sorrow would be горје. And yes I am using serbian cyrilic because that makes the most sense.

Sorry

Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 1y

No need to apologise just make comments that make more sense next time. We were talking about slovenian and you pointed out the same word written in cyrilic but still in slovenian would somehow mean something else? Just take breath and think a bit before commenting next time. It will be alright.
