Maybe the Canadian government should announce that Californians want to be part of Canada, and therefore should become the next Canadian province.

I admire your optimism, but I am disheartened by the very fact that US voters responded the way they did in November. Only those interested in scientifically-accurate data would care, and they are clearly a minority.
