This one in particular came to mind. I bought the compendium with the old illustrations so I can properly scar my child with them same as I was.
Still have some of that just burned into my mind's eye, terrifying stuff for a kid, I think I was like 7ish (maybe 6?) when I read the first one. Still I turned out mostly ok I like to think.

I think for me it was the girl with spiders coming out of her face. I think the weird horse pic is scary too.
They're all unsettling that's for sure. Good job with the prompt for this image it's cool.

how is the process on bing? Do you have variables like guidance, steps, seed &c or is the image generated only from a description/prompt?
