I want more “2.5 row” cars like the 7 seater model y. Back row is pretty much only usable for kids, but can be folded down for cargo space.
We have a toddler and would love to be able to fit him in his car seat plus both my parents in a car, but his car seat is massive so we can’t make that work even in our CRV. I’d love to get a 7 seater Y, but I don’t know that I really want to buy another tesla
You just described the exact reason I went for the minivan when my kids were little. It had captains chairs and sufficient aisle to walk through, to deal with kids seats
They need to get out from under the anti-EV Toyota and go out alone or find a partner that believes in EVs. This "hippy" user base definitely wants good EV options.

Make it removeable entirely so I can get the cargo space back and you’ve got a deal

We have 3 kids and are looking for a 6 seater. Bench in the middle does. not. work. Captains chairs are much easier to get around.

That's a shame, I was turned off by the Solterra because you can visually tell that it's more Toyota than Subaru.

I'll believe it when I see it.
