I enjoyed the live shows. I can understand how some may not though. I have tickets to see them again, so... Yeah. I especially like it because it's just them.

I like Cake's music a lot however the one time I saw them live I have to say it was one of the worst live performances I've seen from a band. It really didn't capture the magic of their music, and didn't sound like their recordings at all. This was at Loufest 2014.

I have seen them 3 times, 2019 and 2023. I really liked them all. Their stage presence isn't all that amazing though. It's essentially like going to a polished bar band... with a singer that often sings completely outside of the rhythm/bar at nearly every start.
Regardless, I will forever love their music. I may stop going to their shows if they go too far down hill. Right now, I have a theory he gets fairly drunk back stage and he sings so slow due to being a bit too drunk... but I have no proof. =)
