I just saw this game posted recently, and I figured this place would enjoy talking about Legacy of Kain. Such drama and lore. It set a voice acting bar that still holds it own compared with modern games.
All of the games were amazing. I started with Soul Reaver and then played the Legacy of Kain series. Everything was so gothic, and felt rich.
I don’t know if I would be able to revisit it in terms of the gameplay holding up, or if I should just watch a YouTube play of someone else.

I tried making a post earlier asking about whether the Legacy of Kain remakes are any good. I don't have any nostalgia for them so I don't know if these remasters are updated enough that I could enjoy them or if I'd just find them clunky and annoying. I've heard great things about the story though, so I'm tempted.

Ooo I don’t think I had found this sub lemmy 2 weeks ago. I would say given your love of vamps, you would power through any jank. I did read on steam reviews that people were generally positive on the remakes.
I think the Blood Omen Series was more of my favorite from a gameplay perspective. There is no remaster on that yet.
