In 2021 Belarus was banned from Eurovision because they sent this song because it was too political.

The lyrics take an anti-EU stance, and the name of the song translates to I'll Teach You. A year later the head of the Belarusian broadcaster admitted the song was about the EU. Do you agree with the decision?

So this is too political, but Ukrainian singer with a song about Crimean Tatars is fine. Mhhhm.

I personally, while I agree with the message of the song, get why Eurovision made the decision. Songs must be non-political, and non-political in the sense that they shouldn't be made for certain politicians or ideologies. But still I wish this song would've been performed at Eurovision, even if all the European libs would boo it.

The problem lies in the fact that this "non-political" rule is applied incredibly asymmetrically.

That's true, I'm aware of that. It's hypocritical
