Mama was running AMD and daddy Nvidia. This poor little one drew the short stick in the genetic lottery.

Oh god. They're AMD iGPU and Nvidia dGPU

(not actually that terrible but most graphics switcher plugins assume your iGPU is intel 😮‍💨)

mexicancartel@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 2 pts · 1y

Mine was both amd and i am supposed to tell it to use amd instead of amd...

Hupf@feddit.org · 1 pts · 1y

I don't use Nvidia hardware with Linux but what's the difference between Intel Mesa drivers and AMD Mesa drivers for those graphics switchers?

merthyr1831@lemmy.ml · 1 pts · 1y

Nothing, it's just that the little applets and widgets people make for switching usually assume iGPU = Intel and dGPU = NVidia, which always feels a bit goofy if you're not using that (increasingly less common) hardware config. Identical otherwise tho
