Yes, absolutely they need to be refrigerated. If it's vacuum sealed and doesn't show any expansion, then it's LESS likely that something bad is happening there, but that's not a guarantee on its own.

Personally I would cook it and eat it as soon as possible (today), but I wouldn't be willing to serve it to guests.
