I’m annoyed at the top line of the terminal showing the bottom line of the video

I think the terminal is 1 line taller than the video and that line is the bottom of the previous frame.

I like the overscan at the top. Makes it look like those old super8 films

for some reason the only song that popped into my head was down under by men at work...

I thought the UNIX terminal was only capable of 8 colors? How do you print characters in precise colors like this?

GNU's NOT UNIX though. :)

Anyway, there are terminals that support truecolor (24-bit). You can check here for more information.
