Morning, how're we doing.
I don't know if we can make the daily threads a regular (or perhaps even an automated) thing, but do drop in for a natter.

I've created an account on another instance too, because this community wouldn't show properly...

I think once you've signed up and connected, you can see any ongoing posts but not previous posts.

Cannot wait to get home and take a walk to the pub and have a pint in the beer garden.
Hello to any fellow reddit refugees!

Morning all!
I'm up about an hour earlier than usual for hay fever related reasons, so booo. But already did my morning exercise and now have a whole extra hour, so yay!
I'll probably fill it with work. Booo.

My hay fever has been brutal this week.

Mm, the hayfever suddenly hit me yesterday; and I was just thinking it had been a good year for it so far.
Tempted fate there.

I'm loaded up to the gills with fexofenadine which usually keeps it at bay, idk if you've tried it but it was a gamechanger for me compared to the other supermarket pills. There's just still the odd breakthrough day. Lucky it's Friday and I only have a half day (then I'm allowed to gamedev in the afternoon, woo!)

I got lucky with hayfever over the past few weeks but it feels like it's all caught up with me today!

I have an unexpected WFH day today due to a face-to-face meeting being cancelled. Most of the day will probably be filled with emails and on-line meeting about the reason that the meeting was cancelled though.
Tonight we are evidently having falafel and then I will be putting the new hedge-trimmer to work over the weekend.
How is your weekend looking?

I can only imagine the disappointment of escaping a meeting only for it to be replaced by a slightly different meeting. RIP.

Evening! New to Lemmy, this week felt very long, probably be in bed in a minute.
TeaHands@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 3y
Well that was 2 hours ago so welcome and good morning by the time you see this!

It is so nice today that I'm going to be WFG (working from garden). I hope my laptop doesn't overheat.
Anyone else planning the same?
andypiper@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 3y
Working from car dealership (not for the first time) - and there are no power sockets to be seen, so I may just have to sit and "enjoy" the aircon.

You need a cigar lighter to USB-C adapter :-)

Lucky you! I'm somehow WFCWEB (working from couch with electric blanket!)

It's not quite there yet where I am, but I am certainly hoping to a bit later this summer from time to time. I have hopes of WFH (...From Hammock) at some stage, now that I have garden that is suitable.

Oh now that is the dream.
