@DavidBHimself yes, as someone that has never mastered advanced combat techniques in Zelda, I'm like you, usually trying to fight at distance.
I can fight low level Lynels with all my sage around, lot of armour and potions
I don't even get close to the 3 headed dragons

@DavidBHimself That arena in the depths where you get to fight five lynels in a row 💀 . I'm not sure if the reward is worth the hassle 🫠

@KuramaSuben@famichiki.jp Yes, that's where she went (twice, a few months ago already and today too). I can defeat a red lynel, maybe I could defeat a blue one (I never tried), above that, I run away or teleport.
She does this crazy thing where she climbs on the lynel and also some crazy dodge+charge combo.
My fighting technique at Zelda is to press repeatedly the "A" button until the thing dies. But it doesn't work with lynels.

@DavidBHimself @KuramaSuben dodge 'em, hit'em with a headshot, hop on their back, hit the crap out of them. Dodge them or shield-block and counter-attack.
My first Lynel kill in TotK was a blue one - in the depths.
The A-smash technique works best with bokoblins.

@cousinnalesk@ludosphere.fr @KuramaSuben@famichiki.jp I'm not a gamer. What you described is what my daughter does. As I said, my figthing skills in video games don't go beyond pressing one or two keys repeatedly. I usually have no interest in fighting games. In Zelda, most are okay because easy except for the Lynels (and the new three headed dragons, but they're easy to avoid)

@DavidBHimself I've learnt to do so.
My fighting a Lynel requires at least 3 meals - and sometimes a fairy or two.
