Yeah, I'm ashamed to say I was a bit late to the third party app game and used the official client for far too long (mobile web version was too awful to use even if it worked for blocking ads). The only 3PA I tried was Bacon Reader, and I didn't really care for it. Then I found Infinity and all that was old was new again.

As a 3rd party app user that will cease to exist on June 30, I never had the pleasure of seeing this particular ad. sigh

I never saw any ads. I'm gonna miss RiF. But at least Lemmy doesn't have ads either

The "he get sus" subreddit made even knowing about the ads bearable. Luckily I've been using 3rd party apps mostly so my exposure was minimal.
