I'm surprised this isn't something that can be turned off remotely, the lighthouse is unmanned after all.

I get that the over-honking of the horn is annoying but this reads a little like people who buy houses near churchyards and then whine about the bell ringing.

You live near a lighthouse; it may make noise, and that's the point.
