Absolutely. Canada can recover from this, but the US has lost the respect of the entire world

But if Canada hits the ground first, the US wins, right?

scutiger@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 1y (3 replies)

Canada wouldn't hit the ground first, since the guy would be falling in an arc, while the US would be falling straight down.

Lateral motion doesn't affect vertical motion unless air resistance comes into play, they're both going to be pulled down at the same acceleration from the same height. Canada isn't going to be kicked up either, just forward

On the other hand, Canada is falling face first, and the US is tumbling backwards, so they'll probably fall slower

Gravity would act the same on both of them , so they'd hit the ground at the same time.

These are interesting physics questions that should never be experimented with Canadians. Perhaps Trump and shifty Shift can be put on the see saw. I expect a slight edge in downward momentum for the Canadian, as there would be a small see saw up for the American before their fall starts.

If only there was someone good at platforming. Maybe named Luigi

I seriously doubt a republican would get it.

More plank for republican

Grass@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 1y

if our government was less of a pushover it would be more like Canada holding the plank from a relatively safe position while facing usa, and usa trying to kick while fully visible on the plank
