Not quite enough sunlight for the full irridescence, but I liked this.

Starlings are Hidden gems of nature; people don't appreciate their beauty, probably because they're common

Indeed - I would contend taking up bird photography has the great benefit that you look again at all the common birds, and usually find them beautiful in a certain light or pose (Crows and Pigeons come to mind).

I have a new appreciation for crows now that I've started feeding the ones that live nearby. Their shiny black feathers are pretty, especially when they come close. And they're really smart.
