Did Trump ever say "thank you" to the American people during is address to congress? I didn't watch it, so I'm not sure if he did or not.

He lied non-stop while verbally masturbating to the cheers of his cult followers in Congress.

Putin is the kind of guy who is not good enough at the game, but sabotages anyone else to not look as bad compared with the the others.

That's the entire Russian strategy: Make other countries more miserable to make Russia seem better by comparison.
