This has got to be the dumbest game ever.
I managed to get to 27 away but ended up giving up after burning through 3 hints after that. The closer the connections got to the actual word, the less sense it makes.
I can only imagine this is using some kind of BS deep learning model to infer semantic similarity, because there are some extremely bizarre jumps.
I enjoy the game, but question the algorithm used. The FAQ says what they use. But it's a small team and they are doing great work. I like the majority of their games!

Best I've been able to do today.
I've played some where I got it in like 5, and some where I've gone over 100 guesses. Now, if I don't get it in like 40 or so, I just lose interest. 🙃
