Meh, we have enough costly products, centralized services, and closed source browsers available. If I want to fuck myself over I could go drink an entire bottle of vodka rather than installing this nonsense. If they change literally everything they are doing, and especially stop funding Yandex, I’ll consider trying it.

for me I just really like the competition. I personally have a strong distaste for both chromium and firefox. Really hoping servo and ladybird become strong contenders quickly, servo is actually looking really strong now with it's speed and compat, but ill take what I can

If Orion can add chrome+firefox extensions (idk I heard something like that) then sign me up

I used Orion previously on MacOS, and it is pretty good there. At least we will have a better alternative to Gnome web.

I do prefer and will continue to use an open source browser, but a proprietary browser can still be private. Orion can be verified to not have telemetry.

Also, they have said it will be open sourced. Its not uncommon for software to be made open source later on when the company is more prepared to handle the work that comes along with that.

Chrome + FF extensions (support for both MV2 and MV3 extensions on the Chrome side), PWAs, not being Apple.

Edit: I switched to Fedora on my Mac after an upgrate to Sequoia screwed up.

I'm comparing Orion on Linux and Gnome web here.

this guy is uploading 360p videos to peertube to make people prefer moving to his youtube channel instead. marketing, lol

It’s probably just the PeerTube provider tilvids.com that has issues.
