That's more impressive than you think! Plywood can be really difficult to dovetail by hand.

I think you'll find hardwood with a joinery saw gratifyingly easy by comparison @r4venw.

Not sure how to add a description...
I made this with a construction saw and some home depot chisels but it turned out OK! Feeling like this is a good enough job to justify getting real tools

Good first attempt. Like the other commenter stated you should definitely move up to a hardwood. They cut much nicer than plywood will. Just go to the store and find the cheapest you can practice on.
