Ony happens to good drivers, a bad driver never misses his exit.

I would argue that it happens to mediocre drivers. Good drivers slow down and get into the correct lane a mile or two in advance.

Took the wrong route home cuz I was high and didn't realise it until 1h later. Had the choice of going through the next city or going back 30m for the right road.

That's literally my experience every time I drive in the Netherlands: so many lanes!
