Not quite what I'm looking for, but thanks for trying.

Exactly what I'm looking for!

weird how ya get downvotes for what is clearly a requested personal opinion... 'What are your favorite communities for AI discussion?"

Great question! Just looking to replace my reddit r/chatgpt and r/openai too.

It is interesting how Reddit has a sub (multiple subs?) with people frothing at the mouth about AI advancements, but Lemmy does not seem to.

dick_fineman@discuss.online · 3 pts · 1y (3 replies)

...I mean "frothing at the mouth" is an interesting and vaguely insulting way to frame it.

paraphrand@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 1y (2 replies)

Yeah, I’m mostly talking about how r/singularity changed. And “let’s break society” accelerationist people.

dick_fineman@discuss.online · 2 pts · 1y (1 reply)

...I just want to discuss interesting ways to prompt, and learn about new alternatives that pop up. Also society already broke itself...

paraphrand@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1y

I wasn’t accusing you of any of this.

Just reflecting on how Lemmy is not participating in the AI hype.
