Looks Indonesian to me. After a quick search it seems to be indeed Indonesian. Might be Garuda, a mythical bird from Indonesian mythology, originated from Hindu.

Not an expert in Eastern religions, but it looks more like Shinto or even Hindu than Buddhist.
