Mostly a road and gravel rider (Specialized Diverge Comp E5) but just got my first mountain bike. I like in FL so nothing too intense and as a noob I decided to start simple with this Talon 2 29er. Stoked to take it out this weekend!

Nice! I started last year on an Ozark trail 29er that I put hydraulic brakes on. Got addicted super hard, sold the bike and got a GT avalanche comp 27.5 and got even more addicted. (I'm a short fella. 5'7") And just enjoyed 27.5 more than the 29s.
This year I want to get a canyon spectral full suspension.

Awesome! I'm really excited to do a trail this weekend.

I have the same one. I thought it wasn't good until I realized after way too many rides that the derailer wasn't aligned so it wasn't hitting the last gear. :)
The presta valves are annoying. Everything in the US is Schrader.

Presta is far superior IMO but these presta to Schrader adapters would probably make your life easier.
I'm not in the US so grabbed the first link I found. I got two for £1 so you could probably find cheaper.

Yeah, I keep an adapter in my pocket when I bike.

Presta is the standard in the US for most decent bicycles...
